Over 70,000 Lone Star Construction Workers Gain Control of Health Benefits
PORTLAND, Oregon, -- March 15, 2005 – Concero Technology,
a leading provider of proprietary employee benefits insurance portals proudly announced
they have formed a strategic partnership with HRH Houston (Hill Rogal and Hobbs,
NYSE:HRH) and the associated Texas chapters of AGC (Associated General Contractors
of America).
Concero will provide state-of-the-art web technology that will facilitate group
benefits transactions for the 12 AGC Texas chapters representing over 5,000 firms.
Together PacifiCare Health Services (medical), North Pacific Dental (dental) and
Union Security Insurance Company (life) will offer members access to their group
benefits via Concero’s AGC Texas portal. The portal will aggregate the medical,
dental, vision, life and disability services on a single site. Additionally, a centralized
Customer Service Center will provide online quotes, enrollment, and purchase plans
for groups of all sizes.

The national chapters of (AGC) are comprised of 33,000 member firms who are qualified
construction contractors, specialty contractors and service providers. Established
in 1918, it is the nation’s largest and oldest construction trade association,
HRH is the seventh largest insurance brokerage firm in the United States, with over
120 offices throughout the nation. HRH offers property and casualty, employee benefits,
professional liability, and other areas of specialized exposure. They will start
by securing the endorsement of each AGC Chapter in Texas, starting with the five
largest. This approach has proven successful in the past in getting early support
and acceptance of the program.
